The Luxembourg range, initially produced for the public parks in Paris, and recreated by Fermob has become something of a legend in its own right.
Its style is an emblem of French design – an expression of French culture in furniture form! Today, Luxembourg is a fabulous collection made from aluminium whose watchwords are lightness, joie de vivre and in addition, conviviality. Recently, Fermob asked Frédéric Sofia to reinterpret the legendary chairs and armchairs of the city’s parks.

Originally created in 1923 in the Paris parks department workshops, Fermob still manufactures the range today for the city’s public gardens. From the Jardin du Luxembourg, together with the Tuileries gardens around the Louvre to Place de la Concorde, millions of visitors have relaxed with this range.
With the contract today to make the furniture for the parks in Paris, those are made of steel, rather than the lightweight aluminium seen here.

The result today is a collection of furniture with the same distinctive lines and forms. It combines the lightness and resistance of aluminium with the comfort of curved seat slats.
As well as low seats, a rocking chair, coupled with footstools & benches, up to dining sets for ten people; this is the most extensive range from Fermob.

With the Luxembourg collection, Fermob has the widest choice of tables, including a choice of high tables too.
From the largest in the range at 207 cm × 100 cm, seating up to ten people, to the 80 cm × 80 cm for four (and even this is available with a choice of pedestal or four legs!), there should be something to suit all spaces.
