Sneeboer make hand forged, stainless steel tools in the Netherlands. Still run by the same family, now in its fourth generation, the company celebrated their 100th year in 2013. Generations of gardeners could pass down these tools together with, we hope, a love of gardening.

Felco secateurs go on working – every part is available as a spare or replacement to keep them going for years. You can send them off for servicing; Felco will replace any worn parts as part of the fixed price service.

For over 125 years, Opinel has manufactured pocket knives in the French Alps. Another family company, it is also in the hands of the fourth generation. From traditional roots in a water-powered mill to today’s modern factory, their knives are still hand finished.

Burgon & Ball still manufacture their traditional topiary shears in Sheffield at the heart of Britain’s steel making heartlands.
