High dining…

If you want to choose a high dining set for outdoors, we’ve got some ideas for you here.

The range of furniture shown here are all taller than the normal outdoor dining ideas. They make for a modern, contemporary look – maybe a little New York loft space perhaps? Or maybe you’ve got a bar area or high counter that needs some seating.

And whilst there isn’t quite the same choice as for regular height seating, you’ll be setting your own trend with this furniture.

In the Fermob outdoor furniture range, there are four choices for high dining sets.

A little background information

Across the main Fermob range, seat heights are around 45 cm to 50 cm above the ground, with table heights at around 74 cm.

With these higher dining sets, seat heights are in the range of 74 cm to 80 cm above the ground. Correspondingly, the tables are around 104 cm to 105 cm.

This means the gap between the seat and the table is about the same (at around 25 cm to 30 cm), whether for a regular style or in these raised versions.

But enough technical stuff and numbers, here are the choices.

Bistro

The Bistro range has a high, square table and a high chair too.

Taking its design cues from the rest of the Bistro range, these are available in all of the Fermob metal colours.

A smaller set (the table is 71 cm by 71 cm), ideal for two people, the main advantage of this set is that it folds – perfect for storage if space is limited.

The table height is 105 cm (compared to the normal bistro table at 74 cm), whilst the chair seat is 74 cm above the ground (compared to the regular Bistro seat height of 45 cm).

Luxembourg

As with the rest of the Luxembourg range, this extensive range has the most choices for higher seating and dining.

Whilst there is a single choice (in all the Fermob colours though) for a chair, it is in the choice of tables where the high Luxembourg range comes alive.

The smaller choice is the tall pedestal table. Suitable for up to four people, it has a weighty base (21.5 kg in total) with a single, central column, thereby maximising leg space underneath.

The table height is 105 cm, compared to 74 cm in the regular Luxembourg pedestal table.

This larger table is where the Luxembourg high range pushes the boat out – suitable for up to six people, this rectangular table is the largest high table in the Fermob collection.

This table top sits 104 cm above the ground.

The Luxembourg high seats have a seat height of 80 cm compared to 49 cm in the rest of the Luxembourg seating.

The main plus point with the Luxembourg high range is lightness – its aluminium construction makes it easy to move the range round (though be warned, the square pedestal table is a little heavier, with the weight in the base).

Costa

The Costa range is where you can find comfortable, outdoor fabric seating in a high setting.

Comprising a chair and a square table, this is another choice for smaller settings, perfect for two people dining. It’s a little larger than the high Bistro table at 80 cm by 80 cm.

Being Fabric, the choice of colours is a little more limited, but there’s still a choice of nine colours.

The seat height is 76 cm (compared to 47.5 cm), whilst the table height is 105 cm (compared to the regular table at 74 cm).

Facto

One of a kind – the Facto range has a single high chair that you can pair with any of the other high tables.

With its all metal construction, it’s available in all of the Fermob metal colours.

The high Facto seat height is 74 cm, compared to the regular Facto seat at 47 cm.
